SOASE: Twilight Zone (Bug/Weird)

Ok yesterday Me and a friend were playing a game of Sins.The map was Systems Of War and it was just me(TEC),him(Advent) and 2 Hard AI's(Set To Random) in a Locked Teams FFA.Game started out fine,we were on a TeamSpeak server at the time but for one reason or another he wasnt talking.This was fine I was talking and he was typing to me ingame his responses.

For all the ppl who havent played Systems Of War its a 4 player map that consists of 4 stars of 5 planets (that all contain 1 player) and a central star of 30.

About 30 minutes into the game I head to the central star with a fleet of around: 8 Cobalts,1 Kol,2 Colony's.I capture a Asteroid right off the Star named: Odessa, I build a Frig Fac there and start turning out ships.I start off by sending fleets out to capture everything South and West of me and then decide to send 4 or so cobalts to an asteroid North East of Odessa that is named : Saitama.Now strangely enough exactly at the hour mark my friend types "What the..." I ask him what and he replys "I have a Gauss Platform on one of my planets" Now I beta tested Sins orginally so I say "Its just a graphics/texture glitch,probably been reported already no need too". Now about 1 minute later Dark Green (AI/TEC)  decides to pay me a visit at Odessa so I send enough forces to make him retreat and get back to my conquest on the West Rim of the star.Now let me just state that I am watching the recording as I type this.As im watching the recording I can say that this appeared about the same time as Dark Green attacking Odessa but I orginally didnt notice till much later,I had a beam platform on Saitama.About six minutes after that Dark Green decided to attack me again at Saitama,where at the time I had 4 TEC gauss Cannons and 1 Beam platform (that I still didnt relize was there.So I send in a fleet to get rid of Dark Green and I go on to finshing up my West Rim conquest.Important note: The Beam platform was destoryed in the defense of Saitama.

 

About 3 minutes later my friend types "Oh wow Blues attacking me in my home system".A bit after that I ask him if he posesses one of the artifacts in the central star "Yes all of them",this precedes about 5-10 minutes of just building up and other random stuff.After that time period my friends says "Wow how did I get 4 gauss platforms on my planet".After about 4 minutes of us pulling theorys of why this was happening out of our brains I finally ask him "Whats your planet named ?" He replys "Saitama" I then describe the location of Saitama to him and his is in the EXACT same spot.Now during the last 30 minutes I had captured the entire West Rim and built up a fleet to attack someone with so i had built about 4 scouts to go looking around.After about a minute I decide my target: An Ice planet off the star to the north east. which contains an artifactNow in the last couple minutes my friend has told me that he lost 1 artifact which I assume is this one since the Ice Planet is owned by Dark Blue and has various forces that are all in some way damaged.I then say "well Im looking at one of the artifact planets right now and blue has some forces there" he asks which one and I tell him the planet name and he says 'Well I still own that one" the next 2-4 minutes we are talking back and forth "well do you have this planet ?" "What about this one ?". I saved a recording and he did too (he just cant find it in his files)

 

 

The bug: Owning the same planet at once,having other faction structures teleport to other instances of the same planet and being able to talk ingame while all of this is happening (so we didnt lose our connection to ironclad.

Yeah, I'm the friend. To me it was just like a normal old game of sins vs AI, but it was odd that me and Wes992 were seeing different games going on at the same time.

We were in the same game, with the ability to communicate, however, the actions that were going on through each of our points of view were totally different.

Around the same time Wes992 moved into the central star and took the asteroid Odessa, I moved in with my own fleet of about 11 or so Disciple Vessels and a Mothership, and took the asteroid: Saitama. Now what doesn't make sense is that the asteroid was my first capture in the central asteroid, but Wes992 claims to have taken it sometime after he captured Odessa. Odd much?

Sometime after the capture, I move to the east of the central star, capturing three Artic planets, all containing artifacts, plus another artic and a volcanic planet.

A total of 6 planets in the central star, including Saitama. As stated above, I noticed that I somehow had gauss defense platforms on my asteroid when I'm clearly Advent and not TEC. Then later, I noticed I had more gauss defense platforms (along with my beam defense platforms that Wes992 had recieved on his end), about 4 at least.

Now what Wes992 did about mid-game when we noticed this strange "twilight-zone" problem, is he tried blowing up one of the beam defense platforms that he had on his end of the game. He asked me if mine blew up or not and strangely all my beam defense platforms on Saitama were still intact.

As for the planets on the east of the central star, Wes992 says that he did not see me out of my own star, and that only one of the three artics had an artifact, and that I had not claimed it or any of the planets in that region.

That's about as much as I remember and I will try and find a recording of it.

Though I found it somehow strange that we were still able to communicate throughout the whole game.

Sounds like you two desynced.

This type of thing has happened to me in Age of Mythology before and it turned out just to be a desyncing error. Not sure why, but it happens in some games some times and most likely for various reasons.
