Yo Folks, First sorry for my bad english writing, have dislexia!


Why this treat,

Well i think this game rocks with space fights, and the posibilities... limitless if i see the mods of maps already and all. So i was thinking, lets make it a real big game and mod, means a HUGE solar system map and units from new races.

I was thinking, why not make a solarsystem map of EAW whit Empire, Rebels and consortiom as pirats and race of that part of the system.

Adding the solar system of Battle Star Gallactica whit as units and races the humans and Cylones of that system.

Then we add the next solar system, Earth.. lol Stargate with as units the Goaules, Humans, Replicators and all the rest of them.

Then the solar system of Starship Troopers with the bugs.

Then Star Trek with all their ships, Vulcans, Starfleet command, Klingons, Romulans.... and so on.

Then a solar system Of BABYLON5.

Then a solar system, i don't know the english titles of the soap, i used to look at it in german tv on VOX channel, Humans at war agains the Chicks, (not girl chicks lol!) a alien ras that startet war with humans by attaking a colony. The ships and fighters look orsom, especialy the chicks fighters. Maybe someon knows it to, its old soap from the end 90s.

Then a solar system of a good old anime soap STARCOM (hehe the good old days)

And then we add the orginal solar system with the standart races from the game ofcourse.


Its just a idea, like to see that all in this game, fighting echator lol Wonder what the outcome will be. Anyway, its just a idea, if i had the modding scill of the profs. here, i was alreading starting of building, but i am not. So i let it up to u. Let me know what u think of the concept. Grtz


P.s. : If u need some ideas more in detail what i am are thinking of what units to use and all, or some small hand drawings om me (can't work with pc what drawings or modelling, gif me paper and pen, and i draw u almost evrything), be free to mail, pm or leave a reply here.

Isn't 7ds hitting the stringID limit? or close to?

Perhaps I missed that that limit is going to be fixed, but if not, it alone will prevent any ridiculously large mod from seeing the light of day. That's not even considering an eventual expansion.

I think that turned out to be file corruption. No real limit as of yet that I know of.

Greetings All,
Thought I might chime in since you are all talking about 7 DEADLY SINS. JUDGE, 7DS may be the answer to your prayers. It is my full intention to include every universe possible into one big Sci-Fi fantasy, all while offering every great mod for Sins in one nice package, since Sins does not support multiple mods running. ALL this is done with permission from the other modders whose mods made the original content. For example, the Rogue race is based off of another mod made by HammerSun, who is now in fact my partner in 7 DEADLY SINS.

I hope, through the power of other modders and myself, to be able to have Star Wars vs. Star Trek vs. BSG vs. B5 vs. Stargate vs. Wing Commander v.s. Halo v.s. Star Control v.s. Master of Orion v.s Freespace v.s Homeworld.....you get the idea.

However, as you can guess, this is a huge undertaking, and I will fully admit to biting off more than I can chew, which is the reason why I have such a great team helping me out, many of whom have already posted here in your thread. We are all working together to bring players the best mod possible with the resources that we currently have.

Kodiak, there is no string limit. After rebuilding my entire database, I was able to fix the problem. The file must have been corrupted.

Here is a taste of what 7DS 2.0 brings:
10 brand new planets
5 System Stars
5 Colonizable Stars
2 Black Holes
2 Wormholes
2 Nebulaes
Colonizable Gas Giants, with new types, such as green and blue.
11 total races, including playable pirates.
TITAN class ships
All new graphical effects
All new sound effects
All new music
New research
New ships
New models

You get the idea. Check it out, you may like what you see.

Bin a wile i was here, long time no see hehe

What did i see, lots of great mods, downing them now, and what do my eyes see, animatet ships and all!

Think of it that in the beginning many people called it stupid, not possible and all, and look now what we have here!

Danman, i hope u will make it like u say u want it to do, gona be huge undertaking to bring them all togheter.

Looks like its getting more and more a realistick idea if i see how far the modders go. And with all this combined universes... space don't look so empty anymore lol, no more waste of space lol

I wonder how long it wil take... don't wanna think about the size of the mod lol

Gues sins creators ... gona learn a lot of the modders again lol

 

Anyway... I hoop this treat is'n dead yet and people start to think athore wise then in the beginning.
