Ship voices......relative to their status.......

    I think it would be great if when you clicked on a ship it would give a verbal response relative to their condition. If for instance a ship was getting slaughtered, they would shout " engines failing" "hull breach" or something like that. The first time I played COH and one of the unit's in the middle of a battle yelled " what the f...k do you want!!!?" I almost spit out my drink.....just an idea.

this would be cool.

it would also be cool if a ship, knowing that its getting hammered, the captain would occasionally rev the engines up to full, and attempt to get the hell out of there.

Lol, I've actually said something along those lines the first time I researced demo bots and he preferred using them as oppossed to repairing.  Pfftt. Idiot captain!  Autocast off.

Hoshikos are like Paladins in WoW, They want to only heal themselves and keep beating on shit while their buddies are dying around them. Damn Healers/Tanks.

I'm totally on board with this idea.  I'd have to say overall this is easily one of the best games I've played but the voiceovers can get pretty repetitive.  A little variety, especially if it's indicative of the ships status, would be a welcome improvement.

I'd thought it'd be funny if they had "pissed" responses like in Warcraft/Starcraft.

A good idea for the Hoshi: "Keep doing that, and I'll show you how accurate the Grey Goo scenario REALLY is..."

I really don't see why not. It just adds immersion and depth to the game.

...only so long as they work on some of the scripting. I'm looking at you, Vulkoras.

ROFL...

the grey goo scenario gave me nightmares...

and then outpost 2 (whose plotline is driven by "the blight"... grey goo... the novella that went with the game was much better than the game... worth playing through just to read the book, of course.) gave me nightmares.

and then i discoved the actual "grey goo scenario"... and i got more nightmares...

I think relative status updates by fleet would work too, i mean if you had ships that told you how they were thats awesome, but what about when you select a fleet or a 10 ship squad?

"fleet is nominal/taking damage/at 30%" i know you can read the stats, but in the heat of microing a battle, do you really want to keep track of whats going on with little numbers?

otherwise, i like it.. a lot. actually scrap that first part and ust make status updates more informative other than "an enemy fleet is attacking one of our planets"

"I go to DESTROY!!!" Who doesn't love the Vulkoras?

Ship voices relative to status would be nice, but still, it's a minor addition that could take a long time for voice overs. If the devs did add these, it'd be a neat addition.

It's going to be exciting in the next sins where indivdual sytems could be targeted or shut down then the voiceovers would have many different announcements to make.

This is a great idea!  It would definitely add to the immersion! 

 

I tell ya, with all the great ideas that have been posted for this game over the last year and a half, Sins 2 is going to rock!
