Leaders & Capital Ship Captains

Is anyone aware of any plans to introduce Planetary leaders & Ship Captains in to Sins at all?

Having leaders that give certain benefits to a planet and Captains to give some form of bonus to Capital ships and Fleets bound to the Capital ships would be good.

This is not an original idea I know; I have been playing MOO2 multiplayer recently using DOSBOX and thought that Sins could do with these features.

Also, I hope the diplomacy is improved as I do not like the fact that the other races can make demans but I cannot demand anything from them. The Diplomacy side is very poor at present.

I'd like to see something like this as well. My first idea was a "designate flagship" button that costs money. You'd be able to change your flagship around and it would give bonuses to the surrounding ship. I came up with that idea awhile ago....good to see someone who has a similar idea.

The capital ship number is dependent on the how many captains have been trained. Its not a number for the number of ships you can have, but for people trained. So that part is actually in the game.

I found Leaders in MOO3 to be a complete waste of time, since they always died of old age or assasination pretty quickly. I cant see a purpose for them in Sins. I dont recall moo2, been so long since i played it.

You could add fleet admirals to capital ships, and various levels of training that make a fleet more effective. However, since a lot of people dont use fleets, since this feature has so many things wrong with it, I would think that admirals should act on all ships in the gravity well. More than one admiral there, then the highest ranking one gives the orders. Or you could have multiple admirals in a gravity well multiplying the effects.
