Random map nebula glitch

Hey there :) New to Sins here, loving the concept ^^

I threw myself into trying a custom map, seems very nice! However, when I zoom out all the way, the stars disappear and don't get that bright galaxy nebula that I've seen in the premade maps. Anyone has a clue?

Thanks :)

What do you mean by "stars disappear"?

As for the nebulae, each star system has its own (picked randomly from a few available to each star color). So they only show while you're zoomed in to the solar system view. Once you zoom out to view the galaxy, it switches to the "deep space" skybox, which is just stars.

There are some skybox options you can toggle to play around with it a bit, but this isn't a bug if I understand your post correctly.

If I don't, please post a screenshot :P

Hmm, 'Prt Sc' never worked for me :P I'l try being a bit clearer, before trying to get screenshots.

Although it's hard to be any clearer. In deep space view (full zoomed out), all you see is these 'nebulas', with explored planets either plain gray or in player/team colour. Zooming abit closer, the nebulas will fade to show the coloured 2D star picture, as designed in the game. Now, when I make a custom map and zoom out (to get an impression of proximity of the other star-systems), the 2D star pictures and the nebulas (even for my own star system) just disappears abruptly (no fading), when zooming to these views.

Hope that helped :) I know that a few screenshots would have been more acurate, but again, I should be given good reason to tamper with it ^^'
