Preordering Sept 4.

I can't get enough money until Sept 4.  So if I preorder that day can I still participate in the first beta?

The beta will be starting on that day at around 12 EST from what I have gathered from IRC chat.  Not sure if you would get in but maybe if you did before 12.

I was under the assumption the beta wouldn't be charged until the 4th anyway.  Wouldn't that make preordering now inconsequential?

It won't get charged, but there's still a limit to the number of spots, on first come first serve. Everyone who has preordered up until PAX was guaranteed a spot, and Stardock said chances are high that anyone who preorders within a few days after the beta's launch will still get in for this phase.

We'll start accepting PayPal pre-orders once all the existing pre-orders have been charged. PayPal orders will remain open for at least the next week and will be charged immediately.
