I think I am pushing the game past its parameters but just want to be sure it is me and not you

First, Kudoes to Stardock. The Beta has fixed almost all the problems I have with the way I play the game. I haven't had a minidump since the update. My proctologist would be proud of your work.

Now let me explain how I play the game.

I want my game to last forever. I don't want to win, I just want to never lose. I want all my opponents to survive ad infinitum.

I made a map with 13 star systems and 10 players (1 me and 9 comp)and have been playing it for 27 hours now. So far so good. My PC can deal with it.

However, I can't see all my planets ( 200 or so I think)when I check how my economy is doing. Is there some kind of max # of planets that can be shown? and if so what is the max #?

I realise I am probably a minority of 1 and you have better things to do. If you have the time answer my question, thanks, if you don't I will muddle along.

Oh one other thing, in the course of my game I Dominate alot of Pirates, it would be cool if when I click on them that they would SAY SOMETHING.

Just a suggestion

I play big games too, and have the same problem with the lists of planets and how productive they are.

I think its an oversight. The devs have tested using small maps, and forgotten that its possible to make really large maps, and never bothered to play a game while testing that overruns the display limits of the screen. Talking of which, it probably varies how many can be seen depending on what you have the screen set to.

I've never noticed where it overflows, but since I play 100+ planets all the time, it invariably does. But since I dont check regularly, I've not noticed when it overflows.

But it is a minor bug and the list should be capable of spawning a second column.

Its very annoying sometimes to not be able to see the totals on the bottom.

I think it has to do with how big the UI is for lower resolutions. When it cuts off, it should have a ... at the bottom.

Thanks for letting me know I am not alone with the problem

I had that same thing happen to me on my last game but instead I lost all the numbers dealing with the planet and the total. It did not ruin the game but it is still anonning. But in the end I still won.

Here is my thing though. I don't want to win, just to never lose.

They're the same thing. It's a strategy game; you either win (with your military or with diplomacy) or you lose (by the enemy's military). If you never lose, you always win.

That is, of course, assuming you don't just quit right before the end of the game. :)
