You get to download the full game plus the box. But, getting the box also lets you download the full game, just after you get it. Once you register the serial #, you get access to the download. If you buy from Stardock, this happens automatically and you can download right away while the box is shipping. If you buy from retail, you have to manually register.

Also note that when you buy from Stardock you get the CE, which has some extra goodies (posters, music CD).

Make sure you use the same e-mail address when buying as your existing Stardock account, otherwise you'll have to contact support to have them merge it, since the registration will be added to the e-mail address/account you use to buy with

I have the retail box and Sins is installed in Impulse but for the life of me I can't remember which method I choose.

Odd as this might sound I think I was instructed to pay less for the game at a retail shoppe, to save me money and boost retail sales figures and save Stardock the cost of the digital download.
