I just bought this game a couple days ago (and it's fantastic) - however, when I try to update to 1.05, I run into issues.

Downloading the standalone installer first, I ran it, and the installer ran through to 100% - and then told me it couldn't modify some system settings because "my account doesn't have adequate priveleges" and informed me that I needed to run the update from an administrator account.

The problem here being that I'm running an administrator account on Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3.

So I downloaded impulse to try and update, figuring that it might work better. When I update through impulse, it downloads the update, installs it, says "install successful"... then promptly informs me that the new update 1.05 is available, and my installed version is 1.0.

Any suggestions? If the game available on Steam, and can I thus patch into steam with my boxed retail copy, and see if that will update it?
