A little Lonely

When ever I go online there is no activity, it displays there are barely any players on and no games are open to join, when I do create one there is no one around to join. Is there actualy a lot of activity but its automaticly not including players that cant connect to me or have higher ping. If thats not the case then when is the key time in the week when everybody plays a few matches before hitting the sack?

I've seen activity from say 9 am to 1 am U.S. Eastern Time.

You can't host unless you have configured your router, firewalls, and port forwarding properly.  See the sticky threads in the Technical forum.  The upcoming 1.1 patch will make it so that everyone can host.

Sins is a fun game, but it doesn't have much of an online multiplayer scene because of game crashing problems (minidumps) and hosting difficulties.

if your playing the beta (v1.095) it already has the ability to test your hosting capabilities.. and if necesary bypassing it.....  its one of the tabs on the left whilst online...

about low activity.. yeah im on the beta currently normally saw around 40 - 100 people online..... but everytime i log in now i get a mere 2.. wich i personally conlude me + 1 (probably) maintenance (bot)  or atleast some(thing) that doesnt play games :P

beginning to wonder .... just temporarily...

or lost interest..... whatever the reason might be... (i can think of alot right now -.-)

Im waiting for 1.1 official. Then people should have no reason to stay in 1.05 and we can all get together on one version.

I do see some storms in the horizon tho , with those people who will only move to 1.1 once it becomes a standalone patch , as there was no agreement upon purchase that an online tool like impulse would be required to update the game for mulitplayer compatibility. More a principle thing for them I guess.

Hopefully 1.05 will get so lonely that anyone serious about online play will probably be forced into using impulse.

Actually, once v1.1 comes out, you will be REQUIRED to download it to play on ICO.  This was true fro v1.04 and 1.05 as well.  So yes, once v1.1 is released, the community will be united again.

On another note, I am looking forward to playing skilled players again.  It gets kindof boring playing the same people over and over again (no offense to anyone, but you get predictable after a while).

I agree with Howdidudothat. The AI is rather predictable, as I have yet to really even play another human being, either allied or versus. Now, I've tried, don't get me wrong: I've signed in at different times on different days, but there just doesn't seem to be anyone interested in playing online. QUESTION MARK!!! Anyways, I've also got a Hamachi VPN set up for Sins, so if there's anyone interested in doing a round or two, pmail or email me.

High Guard -- your best bet is during European and North American prime time, say from about 3 pm U.S. EST to 11 pm U.S. EST.  Sadly, player counts have decreased over the past couple months, possibly due to the "back to school" effect.
