Visit (www.impulsedriven.com) and download IMPULSE (stardock's new digital distribution system) and register and download/install the game directly from stardock.  As long as you have a valid cd-key and register it with stardock you'll be able to download/install it.

You might as well do it via IMPULSE because all patches will require Impulse to be installed anyway.  :)

There have been a few issues with drives having trouble reading the disc.. it sounds like something weird of that nature is going on. But yeah, what Monk said :P

I too have had problems installing Sins (there are some missing files or something, I'm not exactly computer savvy), and I have a question: how does one download the game from impules? I think I'm downloading an update, but not the game, and the only place I can find to download the game is in the store, where it seems I have to pay for it.

1. You need to make sure you've got IMPULSE (the software) installed and running

2.  Click the "key" icon at the upper right within IMPULSE and verify that your registration information for SINS is there (ie. your e-mail address tied to your CD-Key)

3.  Then by clicking the "My Games" tab you should see the option to install/update SINS.
