Ironclad mod path?

When I click on mod path in options it says Ironclad but I dont have ironclad for my directory I have stardock is that supposed to be like that or not?

 

Also I dont have a mods folder in my soase folder.

Is that why mods wont install?

Make sure you enable "Show hidden files and folders" in explorer settings. AppData is hidden by default. The mod path is exact, you need to put mods in there. AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire will have a mods folder

How the heck do I make it so that after I un check  read only then click apply and exit properties how do I make it so it stays unchecked because it keeps re checking itself when I exit.

Open up an Explorer window, go to Tools > Folder Options > View and find the "Show hidden files and folders" toggle.

To know where to put the mods, launch the game and go to Options > Mods > Show Mod Path. It will show you exactly where your Mods folder is to dump mods into.

Nvm thanks hope this works but how do I make it so rea only stays unchecked.?

Right click on the folder you want to change and go to Properties, uncheck Read Only and click ok - it'll ask you to applyto  all sub-folders and files, click yes. It might reset the read only flag if you don't have admin rights, I dunno. It should stay unchecked when you do that.

Ok its weird I am an admin and my account says full control.
