Kotor mod

I dont know if anyone has discussed this and I am sure somebody is trying their hand at a starwars mod already but has anyone considered a kotor era mod.?

There could be 2 sides sith and republic

The sith get

Leviathen class as their main cap ship type

This is an older sith ship but could be a battle cruiser or planet seiger

This ship was used in the expanded verse later on after the defeat of the empire but could be a colonizer cap ship

Another expanded verse ship

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dreadnaught-class_heavy_cruiser

Then the strike craft are sith

Sith infiltrator

These are the sith ships availible but there was a ship in kotor 2 the ravager that looked almost like a star destroyer.

Republic ships

Hammerhead

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Consular-class_space_cruiser

I cant find any more but play kotor nding to see

I would either love t see a kotor era mod o a mass effect mod but I know theres lots of guys who would keep starwars away from soase but for those who like kotor this mod would be good if someone could make one like it.

So discuss it

Instead of discussing it. Why not learn how to mod, and make it? You are interested in it. Are you not?

I am not trying to be rude here, but i see way too many of these "build mod for me" topics. Yes that is pretty much what it is. If you dont want to take the time and effort to learn how to do this yourself. We dont need any more mod "idea's" We need Modders. People that will go out of their way to learn, and to do whatever it takes to make a mod. I am sorry, but unless you have a working proof of concept then all you are doing is wasting time.

I would happily devote hours to trying my hand I just need to know where to start and its not rude to say it I know its a bit much to say.

But if there was an modding for dummies somwhere round here I would gladly mod.

Well for starters most of the stuff in sins can be edited with wordpad. Download the forge tools and look through the reference files which are the same thing as the game entity's cept in text format. Play around with them and see what they do. make a little test mini mod just to learn how to change ship stats.

Google is your friend when it comes to modeling, and texturing tutorials. Download the softimage xsi mod tool which is free, Use it. learn it.

I am not sure how you can aquire adobe photoshop, but i hear gimp is just as good. again use it. learn it.

Most of these things the only way to learn is by doing. The school of hard knocks.

First things first though where do I download forge tools too I have winzip so I need to know what file I extract the tools to or do I just make a new blank folder for the forge tools.

forge tools can be downloaded here at the sins downloads

I know but I mean when winzip pops up showing the differant files where do I put those files.

anywhere it doesnt matter.  You just open the file and browse the folders the only one that needs to be in a specified spot is particle editor the rest can be launched from anywhere

There was talk along time ago of eville jedi expanding his mod to cover the civil war. But that was along time ago. If you are after ideas for ships their was a empires at war mod that was quite good set during the jedi civil war.

Glade to see that you are going to learn to do yourself too many just try to push it on the others.

I my self have trying to learn more about programming side of so that some time I may help out in moding. but my progress so far amount to little over than screwing with stats and miner editing of data the rest goes right over my wee little head

I digress,  EvilleJedi dos have some KOTOR modes I would try to contact him on his web site http://warlords.swrebellion.com/wp/  Also there was a mod for Empire at war at fille front that had some models as well. that’s probably a good place to start begging… I mean asking for some models that have all ready had started

One last thing the Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer is not from the Koto Time era it’s from the legacy era.  And the Dreadnaught’s are from yearly are the clone wars. Many decades before in fact but were still made several thousand after the Koto ere. BUT!! that if you need more ships then by all means use what you can find and don’t let some stupid person tell not to use them because there not from the right time or what ever. i am just telling you this so clobbered over the head by some else  for not using the “right Ships” any way best of luck

 Sincerely, Stephen
