Game won't save settings

I've been playing Sins for a few days now and something really annoying keeps happening.  I keep having to change the keymapping over and over because every time I quit the game and restart, any changes I have made to the settings are lost.  Additionally, the game still reports that I have 0% achievements even though I've gotten messages that I received quite a few achievements over the last few games.  It seems like data that should be saved is lost every time I quit the game.

I don't care all that much about the achievements but having to reset the key bindings every. single.  time. I play Sins is getting old fast.  Has anyone else had this problem or know what might cause it?
