What are minidumps? What do they do for me besides interrupt my game? Is there any schedule (like every 3 hours there is a minidump) or is it random?
As has been pointed out in numerous threads....
"Minidump" is the term for a generic crash. This crash can be brought on by any number of things, so in an effort to make sure you're not trying to troubleshoot a problem that may have been fixed in a game update or newer driver etc. please make sure of the following:
Make sure you're running at least version 1.05 (at the main menu in-game check the bottom right corner of the screen for your current game version)
Make sure all of your device drivers are up-to-date!
Essentially make sure your system is updated and then we can continue to try to troubleshoot this for/with you...

I cannot update so i am still using the origional game. what is a device driver? I know this may not help but I know very little about computer hardware.

Why can't you update?
You need to install IMPULSE (www.impulsedriven.com ) in order to update your game
"Device Drivers" are software installed/loaded which allow your OS to interact (use) said hardware. They (especially video cards) receive regular updates by the hardware manufacturers and need to be kept up-to-date in order to make sure things keep working well.
Again, make sure your game is running at least version 1.05 (the latest non-beta) and that all of your drivers are up to date as well.
There is no point in trying to troubleshoot this any further until you've done that, as an issue you may be having might have been solved in a game update or a newer driver version for your hardware.

I can't update because when I try it says this is not the acount I registerd under and Whn I try to use Impulse it tells me that my code is not valid. I don't recall downloading any updates to my system either. I am currently trying to update my game.

Well yes, you will need a valid "registration" in order to update. Please contact [email protected] via email for help with account/registration issues (please note: support is off on weekends)
minidump.. it's got frustrateing now, i have the latest drivers, the latest patch installed, and i can't play the game without a crash, i think it has something to do with the auto-saves. is there somewhere i can send my dxdiag so it could get checked, i know for a fact i'm not the only one suffering from this, a few people mention the problem online. this effects single and multi player.

Please make sure you're not running any MODS when you're troubleshooting this issue as crashing due to MODS being installed/enabled is the responsibility of the MOD creator to troubleshoot.
If you have saves and replays of the game crashing (un-modded) I believe you can let the DEV's at [email protected] know and they'll tell where to send them.
