Help fighting against Guardians? Bruiesed TEC fleet commander seeks urgent help!

Hi everyone, my friends and I have picked up SINs recently and both myself and my two mates, (2x TEC, 1 X Ves) are getting completly and totally messed up by our forth mate who plays as Advent.

Pretty much he spams Guardians and we can't touch his fleet.

We ignore the guardians, we can't kill the other support ships quickly enough, we kill the Guardians it take so long the support base is wipped out during the jobs.

Any assistance appreciated.

The Vasari guy shouldn't have too much of a problem.

His Kanrak Assailants, Fighter Squadrons, and Bomber Squadrons can continue fighting unaffected despite the Guardian's Repulsion ability, because the Assailant has very long range and because the strikecraft are not bothered by the Guardian's ability. They don't suffer much from the shield-bubble ability either because they are all armed with Phase Missiles that have a chance(depending on tech level) to penetrate through shields, ignore shield mitigation, and directly impact the enemy's hull(an Advent weakness, their hulls are flimsy).

The Vasari also have the Stilakus Subverter, which has an ability that reduces enemy shield mitigation by 10% and increases friendly Phase Missile penetration chance by 25%. The Subverter's second ability, Distortion Field, can outright disable a large chunk of the enemy fleet, except for capital ships and strikecraft. Distortion Field's only problem is that it costs a lot of antimatter in 1.09.

As for TEC, I don't know. Their LRM frigate should be able to outrange the Guardian's repulsion, but it'll take ages cutting down the Guardian's ass-whoopin' super-shields that have close to 2000 hp. Their strikecraft are also unaffected, but they suck in comparison to Vasari and Advent strike craft and will probably end up getting shredded by Advent fighters. But if you get a Level 6 Marza, you could use the Missile Barrage ability with the Incendiary Shells buff for a massive wiping of the floor with the enemy fleet, should you encounter the Guardian spam. The Akkan can also Ion Bolt individual targets to disable them. The Dunov's EMP Charge can also help nab the Guardian's shields and antimatter strengths.

In addition to what PeskyFly said, I suggest looking into the middle of the Guardian swarm and finding the Progenitor and taking it out.  Progenitors are the synergistic ship that makes Guardians damn near invincible.  So whatever you have at your disposal...upgraded phase missiles....Cielo target painting...what have you, should probably go towards taking out that Progenitor so it can't keep recharging the Guardian's shields.

BTW, Guardians are NOT cheap ships.  Your buddy is paying a lot for them to be there.

Good point. Taking out that Progenitor removes the Malice and Shield Recharge abilities from play, meaning your ships will suffer less damage and will be able to do more damage. It's not amazingly tough for a capital ship, and is also the slowest ship there is(along with the Space Egg) so it makes a very good focus-fire target. EMP Charge/Ion Bolt, Designate Target(Cielo's ability) and focussed fire from LRMs should be able to crack it.

Again, for Vasari, the Progenitor isn't a problem thanks to the handy super Space Egg and it's Nano Disassembler, together with focused Phase Missile fire from Assailants/Bombers, which together can take it down.

How about the TEC Heavy Cruser?  I thought its ability allowed it to push past the repulse?

End of Josef086's quote

Repulsion gives a 1000% penalty to speed and acceleration within its area of effect. Intercept gives 200% bonus to speed and 800% to acceleration.
