Entrenchment free of what
Since this expansion is delivered over the impulse program do we have to pay for it?

Entrenchment is the first of a couple "micro-expansions" and is not free! Expansions are not patches, there is a significant difference. Impulse is a store (among many other things) so you can buy, download and then update your software in one convenient location.
thanks,

Ok I just dont like using a credit card or something.
I hope that once they release all three micro expansion Ironclad and Stardock will put them together into a retail expansion. I mainly would like this because I hate buying things over the internet, but if I must I must.
You'll be able to use Paypal once it's released, just can't pre-order with it.
They will box up all 3 micro packs for retail, they said so!
Edit: Monk, nice avatar ![]()
I hope they allow "credit" of some sort if you buy one MX via impulse, but wait for the boxed retail for all 3. I'm sure I'll get Entrenchment; but not sure about the other two (till the boxed version of all of them). I'm just paranoid about not having "proof of purchase", or something to hold after you make a purchase.
I had to send in pictures of my Disk/Box/Receit to get GCII reactivated recently; what do you do in the same situation if you downloaded it via Impulse?
The trouble you had is only an issue with a retail copy if for some reason it won't register and the usual reasons are not the case. For Impulse purchases, we have the sales records and the serial is directly and permanently linked to your account.
1. YES! I must have missed that part about it coming out for retail
2. Ditto
Thanks, my son made it for me.
He actually made a whole bunch (using MS Expression Design studio) some with hand-to-hand combat weapons and others with guns. I think he intends to make an animated short-film with them [some day!].....(he's great at procrastinating...hence the "some day"......hehe)
Yeah, well, it suits you.. you need the Uzi and the rifle to ward off all the flamers you like to attract, and the shades are naturally needed since old people have to look cool *somehow*.
*runs off and hides*
Once again.....made my day Anny!
Kyro, could you please explain "how" the serial is directly and permanently linked to your account. If my account is my computer, or my operating system, or my email address, any of that could change at any time. Only this time, I may not have anything to take a picture of, to prove I leagally purchased the product.
It is your e-mail. You are able to change the e-mail address associated with your account by contacting support (used to be able to do it through the site, but not anymore apparently).
Doh. I wish I would have known that last year. I had no idea back then my email was so "connected" to my games.
Im just wondering at the moment whether it would be possible to say play the original "sins" without playing entrenchment if i bought it and also if i say bought the retail expansion whether i would be able to play each one seperately or would they be compressed into one expansion so i could play either the original or all 3 micro expansions together
If Entrenchment doesn't have an in-game toggle (they haven't said if it will or won't), you could still make a copy of the 1.1 Sins before you install Entrenchment and so you'll be able to play the two versions that way. This gets complicated of course if you want to mix/match among the 3 micro packs, and I don't know if they'll put in hard switches for them.
ok thanks that has help me quite a bit
