Removing build limits

I love capital ships. I would like to be able to build nothing but capital ships. Is there a way for me to remove the limitations on capital ships? And/or increase teh limits allowed total? As in, instead of a hard cap at 2000, build up to 4000 points and 48 capital ships? Or make capital ships cost 25 points rather than 50?

As you can see, I really just want big fleets of big ships.

I concur. Having just started the game a few weeks ago, i have attempted to 'work my way up' to some of the larger encounters the game provides. Starting on small -> medium maps i didnt really encounter unit limits/restrictions in my games.

However apon playing the larger maps (102 system maps) ive noticed a rather .. large gap in capabilities. Yes i know these larger maps are for multi games but for all intesive purposes im not there yet (up to scratch for multi gaming.. im still learning).

After taking a look in the files i found the files that need editing.. however im not sure what @@^ means with respect to numbers.. Any help in sussing this out would be much appreciated.

its relatively easy to mod the supply limits and there are already several mods that do so, only thing is it really shows your comp down because the ai will MAX it out, if it is near unlimited, the game might crash.

on another note, there is capital ship only mods out there but the AI requires frigates to function properly so you will need to leave them in game.
