starting positions

me and my friend wanted to do a 2v4 battle and start with 2 capitals ships except we keep starting in the wrong positons. we already set the owners for player0 and player1 for 2 planets. how does one fix this?
Personnaly, I had the same problem while designing maps and thats just it! I don't think you can precisely set where you start...they're will always be the random factor of empire positioning!
If you want a specific layout, then quit and restart until you get it!
At least thats what I do!

there is no way to specifically designate where your empire will start so you might as well make it all even.
yup, thank Star/Clad for fixing player start points back in early beta's when people were asking for that little feature.
btw, you can create a scenario template that starts players with stuff. It's a little more involved, but works. There are some maps with scenario templates -like Ancient Gifts iirc or the Labyrinth map.

My homebase doesnt have the black hole artifact so I'm basically dead w8ing for someone to drop down on me!
