Circular Realm of Gravity Well

I'm curious is there a way to set control points so that your ships will automatically follow them outside of the Gravity well?  Also, and this post may actually go into the Strat section of this forum but wanted to ask it anyway...What are the benefits of moving them around outside of the gravity well, I notice that some players will do that.

hi,

not entierly sure what you mean by control points, but if you hold shift whilst moving you can stack, also works for attack.

e.g.

you tell your bombarding ships to move to somwhere safe, then shift right click the planet and they'll start attacking when they get there.

as for the benifits of moving them out side the gravity well, i means you can jump out quickly if needed, you should really be doing this with your carriers unless there's a repair bay you want the to use.

hope that helps

You move faster when going into the gravity well, accordingly, you move slower when headed outside of it. By moving outside the gravity well's reach you take this variables out of the equation completely

And you also further avoid orbital defenses, and phase inhibitors, depending on how well they're placed.
