Will there be a beta for Entrenchment?

Just wondering, if it's happening or not. I preordered my copy a couple of days ago, and I'm itching to try out some strategies and see how the new defensive systems work. I'd like to thank Ironclad and Stardock for making a great game, you guys are the saviors of gaming in general, heh. :P

I agree with Tkins, the current beta is what we are seeing.  IronClad wants to revamp the current settings before adding the new ships and structures in the upcoming expansion.   The biggest change that I like are the additional fighter squads in the carriers.  (1 to 3), they are more expensive, but you don't have to clutter the field with carriers so you would have additional fighters.
