impulse problem

cannot connect

hi i have just purchased sins and was looking to download patches and they are saying to use impulse , so i download the full version of impulse and try and create a account , but it always is saying that i cannot connect to the server please check internet connection which is a joke imo

any1 else have this problem ?

I just freezes for me. Then I can't run a new version or end task the running versions.

Eckyeve, did you check your firewall/router settings to make sure Impulse has the necessary permissions?

Yeah, I can't get it to run, either. So, I have to be a hacker/programmer to get a service program to run, eh? Log on to some microsoft site I have never seen or been to, and finagle the whole VISTA thing.... AGAIN?!?!? Hey, Stardock, why not make a program that installs? This whole Impulse thing is a joke. I can't even add it to an exceptions list in my firewall. Anyway, what a waste of time.

Im running 64 bit vista now , decided to check out 1.1.

Having same problem with Impulse.

 Any ideas?

Thanks to Annatar11 for the above link for the Full Setup for Impulse. This will install.

Wow thank you galacticorigins/Annatar11...I've been gone for a while and I was getting EXTREMELY angry.  I do not know why 1.) Impulse can't update itself without having to go find the new ver. 2.) The 'new' ver isn't even an actual ver. but just a downloader..anyway hopefully I'll be playing sometime tonight and be back to not sucking in a week or so..thanks again.
