I hope their never will be a Sins 2

because i like a great game that grows over time. Please make much addons or expansions for this game to make it better and place more features.

I have played so many great games that got killed by bad sequals with "new ideas" (f.e. bf1942 BF2 BF2142). But the developers think thats they only can make more money with new games. Why dont just expand good ideas ?

remove bugs for free, but get payed for features.

Just want to say that.

There will be a Sins 2 however It wont be for a long time at least till 2014 I would guess. The next  Sci-Fi game there going to start work on is Galactic Civ 3 and that wont be till after 2010 IIRC. That would make a Sins 2 no earlier then 2014. So you got 5 years or so before they may come out with a Sins 2 that long enough for you?

I wouldnt worry about it happening anytime soon, with the expansions on heir way and all the work on the patch they just released ad say sins aint reaching th end of its life for a while yet

but their are advantages to releasing a new game rather than constantly updating a current (and eventually old) game, I agree update and fix and add to stuff thats already there but when new ideas come along that just dont work thats when a sequal is needed, something new to consstruct ideas on

though having said that look what this lot didw with galciv 2, with its expansions its unrecognisable from the original release so again there wont be a sequal for a while yet

I hope they do release it, because they need to fix what they broke in original sins for modders.

Well sins 1 kix ass and when sins 2 comes out I don't think I'll be playing games anymore... Anyways they definetly need a sins 2 atelast 6 years from now since these graphics aren't that great for computers now and 6 years from now imagine how much they'll suck...let's just hope that developers won't forget things in sins 2 like they did in sins 1 like moons, planet rings that serve a purpose and the scale

Im agree with you, Sins of a solar empire is on top of the world, too many companies squeeze the lemon too much for get more and more juice and some blind people pay and pay to them for same games with diferent shapes, really is disgraceful, shameful, bashful what Companies like "EA Games" (Electronic Arts) do, over 10 years they use absolutely same system/core  for all the games like: The Command and Conquer (saga), C&C Generals, C&C Tiberium wars, Command And Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath, Lord of the Rings I, II, III and now something like new fashion EA release Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 this one come in 3 versions the "premier edition" is aprox $65 (crazy).

All the above games are same thing only they change the name, shapes and terrain, they have story mode bla, bla, bla but you can see all of them are same playing skirmish.

Sins of solar empire have own blood, is a game with strong personality in a good price.

Sins have nothing from someone else, Sins have own creation, develop tools for handle and create mods and maps was a a fantastic and generous share from Ironclad/Stardock.

For finish I want to say I love S.O.A.S.E, the ideas, the shares and the people behind, I vote YES for a S.O.A.S.E 2 because for sure should be something outstanding.

That people I said actually is not blind, is people who love this kind of games but if they PAY give to them a something new, not a old product with new shapes and new box and new release price.

Thumps up guys keep the people working because we love your job.

There should be a big fat red link to www.dictionary.reference.com at the top of any forum page.
Maybe that would make reading some posts less of a lethal torture.

Anyway, it is impossible to make a game that does not take an idea from *somewhere*. SoaSE draws from all the previous SpaceRTS games for its basics. Took an idea from Hegemonia, I think, in terms of having planets act as they do. Finally, it sure utilises Supreme Commander's ultimate mouse scroll zoom, where you could also scroll from a third person view of your command Mech to a strategical view of the whole battlefield.

What makes SoaSE so good is that it combined so many ideas into a game which effectively astonishes with its scale, but has many solutions to reduce the amount of clicking to run things. In effect you have a game in EPIC scale requiring non-epic APM to be manageable (actions-per-minute, an RTS hardcore players' rule of thumb on who's good and who's not).

Still, I would be disappointed if SoaSE was left as it is. Without campaign mode and number of research/construction options increased by at least 50% I say it is a bit shallow. Luckily, Stardock and Ironclad know what to do.

Keep it up guys.

Oh and as for Sins2, you cannot keep a game alive for 10 years and keep its popularity undiminishing.
Ok ok, you can -> Ultima Online. Still though, when Sins become sophisticated to the limit, I say they should receive final patching and not be complicated any more.
