[Closed]Clipboard pasted when quoting post

Somewhat difficult to come up with a good and decriptive title, but basically here's what happens:

I am using IE6 currently, only browser available at work so I have not had the chance to test in FF or IE7.

- If you copy a chunk of text to the clipboard (Ctrl+C), then click the Quote button at the bottom of a post, it will paste the chunk of text you copied into the clipboard inbetween the quote tags rather than the post you were quoting.

- Pressing the quote button again quotes the correct post.

Admittedly minor issue, but hey

The quote button should quote whatever is slected.

As a test, select some text and copy it. then unselect it. now hit the quote button. What happens.

Also . . while the forums should all run the same, posting what site/forum/post you are at may assist in fixing.

Yup, you're right. Bit counter-intuitive I think since when you click the quote button you expect the post to be quoted, but I guess the idea is that you can select a certain part of a post and click quote to avoid manually typing the quote tags or quoting the entire post - so that's actually more useful.

Anyhoo, thanks for the explanation, didn't know that's how it worked
