Sins shuts down my computer

Hi everyone,

This problem has been giving me a huge headache! My computer specs are all supposedly good enough to run sins but when I run it, it completely shuts down my computer after about 5-10 minutes; just turns off the power. I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it...also, itunes visualizer causes the same problem if that provieds any hints.

Thanks in advance!

Well if itunes visualizer causes the same thing to happen it's quite obviously not a SINS-problem...

having said that.....what exactly are your computer system specs?  Hard to point the finger when I don't know what I'm pointing at....eh?  hehe

Without anything else to go on (at the moment) I'd say that it sounds like a power supply issue (power supply going bad, or not supplying enough power when video is intensively used).

Give me more info, and I'll be able to help you better...

thanks,

the Monk

My system specs are:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Procssor 4200+2.20 GHZ

4 GM Ram

Graphics card: ATI Radeon 2400 HD

Vista Rating: 4.4...I don't know if that means anything but supposedly it means that it should be able to run Sins fine since the recommended rating for the game is 3.0.

I hope thats the info your looking for, thanks Monk!

Do you know what kind of powersuppy is in your system and how powerful it is?

I'm still thinking the "complete system shutdown / power-off" is a problem relating to the powersupply rather than software etc...
