Windows XP and Impulse

Ok - I have windows XP 64 Bit and impulse will not install. Says it is unsupported. Does this also mean I can not get the patches for Sins becuse I use 64 bit? I do have a windows 32bit Virtual Machine but I would rather not install Sins to a virtual machine, it isnt the most stable thing in the world.

Also, when impulse downloads the patches do that save as a form that I could move to a shared folder between my VM and the Host OS? I could install impulse in the VM if this was a possibility and transfer them to my shared folder.

Any insight would be great. I dont want to waist a lot of time trying to get the updates loaded. Are the updates even compatible with Windows XP 64bit? Arg.... so many incompatibility problems..

You can always use another PC with Win XP 32bit or install it in virtual enviroment(like VWWare, which is free now for home usage) and d/l and update sins there. Then just copy the folder to your WinXP 64 and go for it. I'm still not sure if Sins will start at all.

I just cant resist asking - why on earth you USE XP 64 in the first place? Its totally useless for home usage, unless you have 8 gigs of ram(which is useless for avg home usage also).
