Can't install Impulse [resolved]

It's giving me a wierd error message

So I'm trying to download the new update, but apparently to do that I need to install Impulse first right? Trouble is whenever I run the wizard to install it, as soon as it actually starts installing the program it gives me the message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application." Then it finishes up really quick and tells me it's done installing. If I then try to run Impulse it gives me the same message. Any help would be appreciated.

It also does it when I try to uninstall Impulse, just in case that matters somehow...
