[Fixed]Bug in 1.1 ? Kanrak Assailants stops moving away

Hello, i had a littleproblem wirh my Kanrak Assailants in 1.1.

I was in a fight and i was on the way loosing, so i selected all my ships to move them to another planet. All ships are moving to the gravityboarder, only my Kanrak Assailants wont move. The autocast his ability for stronger missles and stuck between the enemies. if i deativate the ability they move on to the gravityborder, but just a few seconds later the abilty is autocast again, but the commando to move to the gravityboarder is still logged in.

I only had this if the Kanrak Assailant was in fight before.

My guess is that you had that special ability of Assailants turned on. (The one that gets unlocked after having both Assailants and Sentinels researched, forgot its name).

While in their special attack mode, assailants cannot move.

don't they just move extremely slowly when it is activated? thats' what I know.

Yes, its the special ability thats turned on, and that is the problem!

And yes, they are extremly slow or not moving.

But thats not the point. The Point is that they will active there special ability while there are on a movecommando. Why the shouldt activate a feature thats for fight and not for move ?

The bug i see here is that they Autocast the ability while they are on the move. Just try to click 40 frigates manualy the let him move out of the sector. half is down when u are ready...

That's why I never ever research that ability. Especially not since it is enabled by default on freshly built ships. And if I have multiple factories pumping, I just don't have the time to manually disable it on every ship.

You dont need to select every ship of that type one by one to turn it off. If you select ALL your assailents and NOTHING else you will be able to turn that autocast on or off for ALL of them.

I will give it a try,

but it isnt neccesary if they just fix that autocastthing to autoswitch off when a movingcommand is given...

I have had this bug happen to me this morning as well.

I researched the charged missiles tech for the assailants but turned it off autocast immediately.  In the middle of a battle I turned it on autocast so that they would use it when needed reducing what I needed to mirco.  After the battle was over, I turned the ability back off autocast.  However, despite the ability not being used by me or the autocast system, the ships remained stuck indefinately, unable to move at all.

The only way I could get them to move again was by manually using the charged missile ability on every assailant, upon activating the ability, the ships could immediately move again.

The bug seems to be with the autocast system, for some reason when the ships autocast the ability, the appear to be frozen in place indefinately, long after the ability duration has ended.

This isn't a bug, its just annoying user interface design. It's been made much less annoying for Entrenchment and has been improved in two ways (and will no doubt improve lots of other abilities).

First, we can now specify whether an particular ability is activatable across everything that is selected or not. For some abilities its just easier to do en masse and for some and its not desireable. This will improve a lot of ships.

Next, the Assailants will now be smart. If you are telling to move they will switch back to movement mode automatically (assuming you left autocast on) and switch back to attack mode once they reacquire a target in range.

auto-enable works good, but auto-disable doesnt...

blair... when u give movement comands to them, it should be auto-disabled. or if cooldown, auto-disable should be queued and movement command should follow...
