almost the same problem for me 
played sins sice i got it from the store, updated to 1.1 and worked. didnt change anything since yesterday and tonight it tells me:
"old version of sins detected. ensure you have the latest update"
???
thought i am perfect prepared with 1.1 and dont have to update every day 
but where's my point. hm so:
of course, i try to open impule and go on " my games" in that moment it usually says in the left/down corner:
"logging in..." then "retrieving latest update data..."
and -HERE- is the problem:
"problem retrieving update data"
i get that and nothing changes.. no updates... no connection to this data whatever has to be updated...
so i just think that exactly there is the problem. i dont wanna mess with my registration of my product or the installations of sins and impulse. but that thing has to be solved just need to kno how.
WHAT SHOULD I DO? want to play online so bad it's like giving a kid a new toy and then when it has fun take it away...
anybody to help out there?
