Impulse starts only once [FIXED]

After installing it only starts once, after that its broken. If I want to start it again nothing happens, though there's something weird going on in the task manager - Impulse appears and disappears there constantly and the CPU load goes to 100%. The only way to get rid of it is to restart the computer, it's not possible to kill the process.

Now I installed SoaSE 1.1 and like to upgrade to 1.11 - won't work unless I uninstall Impulse and make a fresh install.

If you have a completely up-to-date OS installation including fully up-to-date and working installations of .NET and IE7 Impulse should be working like a dream.

I've got it running on computers running XP (32), XP (64), Vista (32) and Vista (64)...none of which have had even one single issue with Impulse.

How about some OS info along with patch-levels of the OS etc. and we can try to troubleshoot this for you....

thanks,

I got Vista Home Premium (32 Bit) with SP1 installed as well as .NET Framework 3.5 with SP1.

I am having a similar problem.  I also have vista 32 bit Sp1, just installed .NET 3.5 SP1 yesterday and have IE7.  My impulse has never started once, tried reinstalling it, it always crashes while the page it wants is loading.  Oh, and my sins is v1.05

It's happened to me once recently, I started using Impulse on XP in August.
I'm foggy on the details but I seem to remember seeing something about "another session exists" or something.
I killed the process in task manager and restarted Impulse with no issues since then.

I wish I could kill the process but it starts an infinite loop, consuming 100% CPU time.

IC, any feedback on this?

Problem still exists..

If you need a log file or something to fix this let me know.

Starting Impulse as Administrator won't help either..

I downloaded "impulse_setup_full.exe" and made a fresh install and now things got even better...

Instead of having 2 instances of Impulse popping in and out in the task manager it's now 7(!).

what's your system specs? let's compare and maybe we find a reason..

IC, have you come up with a solution yet? contact me.

Did you try sorting your processes by name? That way the program will stay in one place regardless of CPU activity.

Also, you should uninstall impulse and redownload the latest version.

I have the latest version of Impulse installed. I just looked at the problem with Process Explorer and it clearly shows that Impulse constantly starts and quits (color codes green and red).

Uninstalling Impulse also deletes Soase, which is really stupid, so I don't really like to do it.

So I just wanted to update to 1.12 and as expected Impulse won't start. IC?

Still broken.. might wanna fix this anytime?

Fixed it!

Impulse left some hidden files when deinstalling which corrupted every new installation I made. Got rid of them and now it seems to work fine. Thanks for no support and ignoring.
