Expanding the Research Trees

What a pain!

This system they've used is simple for regular play, but for expansion modding, it makes many things difficult if not impossible!  Finding empty slots alone can be a real pain, especially if you want prerequisites.

Only allowing 2 prerequisites is meager as well.

I'd like to start a thread on ideas of how to make room in the research tree for more subjects.

Can we shrink the icons to make room for more rows/columns?

Can we expand the window a bit? It looks like there's more room down below on the TEC tree...

Can we add some sort of paging?

I would love to see IC thoughts on the tree and if they have plans to change it in the future.

I would call the current trees barely moddable unless you shuffle things all over the place...
