In combat why does everything go invulnerable from time to time in single player mode?

Vasari Marauder cap can turn things invulnerable.

Vasari Antorak Marauder has "Phase Out Hull" ability, that makes ship invulnerable, but also prevents it from taking any action.

TEC Akkan Battlecruiser's ultimate ability "Armistice" turns every ship around it invulnerable, but prevents them from firing.

There are no other invulnerability abilities, IIRC.

Doesn't Armistice make a temporary treaty of sorts, so everything in that Gravity well is friendly to each other for a certain amount of time?

I dont think Armistace makes you invulnerable...

I just used it in a game, and it definetly turns ships invulnerable.
