Played a bit, then the tutorial, but...

A helpful poster suggested replaying the tutorial after wading through a few games to hone my novice skills. That was a good idea since I missed some features that I now see as helpful (forming fleets, finding units spread over a system, building static defenses in specific areas rather than randomly).

 

But, in the Basic Logistics tutorial I never get past the Build Gauss Cannon. I build the cannon, then nothing. Is that the end of the tutorial or did I miss something?

Is this 1.1/1.11? Someone said there is a bug with this that IC know about and that it is not possible to finish that scenario. It will be fixed in a future patch I believe...

Just checked - yes, it is 1.11. I think that is the latest update.

I was getting the same problem, but I think I've found a way around it. 

I built a Metal Factory (or whatever it's called) on one of the asteroids, and somehow it continued.

Might work for you too.
