Too black to see

On some games the background is so black I have a real hard time seeing the phase lines and gravity wells. Sometimes the backgrounds are brightly illuminated and seeing these strategic items-of-interest is no problem. Is the color and type of background random? Or is there a user setting I’m missing?

Hmm, the phase lines are light gray, I suggest you adjust your gamma settings.

Yeah there are settings that turn skyboxes off (the bright nebulae background). That being said, all mine are turned off and I can see the phase lanes just fine. I think it might be your gamma settings like Cataclysm2000 said.
