i would also like to add that the type of people that are truly scared of the marza missle barrage are the same people that could not tell you off the top of their head how many labs you needed to make subs... how many fleet slots the carriers cost... how to micro bombers... etc.
i for one am multitudes of thousands more annoyed by the lvl 3 raze planet.... i have crushed siddy and people like him in game only to have him run behind my lines and cause chaos disrupting my trade or my main production terran. i can counter 1 lvl 6 marza Missle barage in my sleep. you all think it is crazily overpowered but that is because you are 1-3 unit spammers that dont EVER build support ships other than guards or hoshinkos. dont feel bad, i hadnt truly used a sub or a domina properly until my 100th game too. do you really think they made this game so you could play 200 games using lrf's, carriers, and 1 support craft?
my point is that the missle barage works 2 ways, it acts as a focal point for the tec arsenol... something that a kodiak rush used to do, now that there are easily obtainable bomber spams that tactic is as obsolete as an lrmf spam. but a lvl 4 or higher marza MAKES you develope counters, either a support ability (phase, ion bolt, etc) to nuetralize it or a bomber assassin fleet/heavy movable firepower fleet i.e. mass enforcers or something... but the fact remains that a missle barrage will not kill your fleet if you arent terrible at this game or you are paying attention, but it WILL make you waste resources building counters instead of rushing the TEC player and sacking his labs, eco, and factories. this lvl 6 ability is not only for attacking the other races... something tec was never able to do before, but to keep them from simply bypassing any tec fleet and wiping out the only thing tec is good for... economy.
the only unit that ever truly needed nerfing=the old illuminators
the only abilities that needed nerfing=malice and repulse
