Fleet and Attack

I’ve learned a lot playing online games and then watching the replays.

I had a couple question and was hoping someone could help me out.

How do you select a order of attack? I see that the more experienced players, if you click on their capital ship, there is a line from it to the 1st enemy ship and then from there to the next and so on. (This is usually neutral colonies) How do you do that?

Secondly, what do you do with "Squadron management"?

Is there something I need to do here to help my ships out. I’m playing mostly with TEC.

Thirdly: In one game someone has a Vasari Jikara Navigator fly in circles in a neutral system. All the enemy was chasing it, and not bothering about anything else. Is there a way to make it fly in cirlces around the Gravity Well, having this not be a manual process?

Thanks.

To queue orders just hold shift as you make them.

ie. attack target one -> right click  attack target two -> shift + right click

yep, you can do this with movement too, so you can hold shift while you instruct your scout to move in a circle around the gravwell...

You don't have to worry about squadron management unless you have strikecraft.  With strikecraft it basically tells you how many of each you have and lets you build more by clicking on either fighters or bombers.

You can set the stance of your fleets and ships, but most players will leave this at default unless they can't micro or have something specific they want to accomplish.

Again the shift key is your friend, just set 5-6-7-8-910 W/E amount of movement points, and you are free to do other stuff, though you will need to refresh the movementpoints once in a while.

But you don't really need your cout to run around a planet if you play TEC. Just research the observer droids from the civics menu. And you only need one lab to do it.
