Update executables

Not sure where this goes

Hi, i was wondering if someone could provide me executables or files to update Sins of a Solar Empire.

The reason why I'm requesting this is because at my local cyber-café, i asked the manager to install the game on two of his machines, he did so and he wants me to get the updates since i used my personal disk.

Which leads to the original question.

Is that legal?
Seems to me you're installing a game for use in a public domain, with anyone being able to access it?

Google is your friend.

Well since you need membership and hours to use the PCs, i would guess that constitutes as a private domain? But thanks anyway

No no.

You're a customer at this net-café. You have bought a game.. or so you claim.. and wish to install it to multiple publicly accessible computers.

A net café is public domain, regardless of whether you have to pay to use the computer.

I am fairly confident, that if you want to play sins at this location - you must pay for a license for each computer.

you can always get it from a pirate site >.>

im not sure really, i play at those public gaming spots occasionally,  even have a friend working there,  he doesnt know anything about having a license, they just buy the games and install em,   isnt that license enough :/?

Sure, if the net café buys 'em. We're talking a private person installing a privately purchased game in a computer that is part of a business.

I'm a little rusty on the Sins EULA, but I'm pretty sure it specifically states that the two-computer thing applies to computers that you actually own. That wouldn't include those at a cyber-cafe. 'Fraid you're on your own on this one - there are no separate patch downloads anyway :P

Ah well, better to ask and be sure...

This is definitely a gray area at best. Please contact sales or support to confirm, but I'd expect the cafe should have its own site license to do this.
