Yes.. I just installed patch and am getting mini dumps, too. I first thought it might be a Ram issue and cleared my startup apps...NO LUCK } \

Didn't go away after reinstalling Impulse, Sins and Entrenchment from scratch!

Sins NEVER crashed on me before Entrechment...now I have this issue.

Download SINS and Entrenchment again, then get the hotfix that went out today.

I experience this after applying the hotfix that went out today. PLayed 15 mins before applying it. No problems. After applying it, it hangs and does a minidump. Then reports error and quits.

I've mentioned this in another thread, can't remember right now, but I had this exact problem.  Mini Dump when starting the game.  I uninstalled the game reinstalled applied the 1.12 patch downloaded Entrenchment and patched that and I got the same minidump error.  So I turned off my firewall software (thats all I did).  And presto game runs fine no issues no crashes.  If you have a firewall (zone alarm, Comodo, etc) try turning it off and try the game, now I maybe just have been cracked on the head but honestly this worked for me.

Win XP SP3

Sapphire HD3850 AGP

2 Gig RAM

Same minidump problem here, got the newest version. Its the same problem about 5-7 minutes into the game it crashes. Cant find the minidump file either it suppose to be in a document~/user/local~/temp/ folder which doesnot exist?

I have Comono, tryed again by shutting the entire program down, did not work. Its funny because I have very little problems with any games (including origal SINS).

Also I read somewhere that changing the desktop are would work, well it did not, for me anyway.

Any advice? I really much would like to play the game in the long holidays :)

FIXED... READ!

Did some research because Im haveing the same problem.  Mini dump.

I have:
Vista 64
GeForce 9800GX2
4GB Ram
3.0GHz AMDX2 Dual Core
HT OMEGA Striker 7.1 Audio Card

I figured out what my problem was and probably most of yours.

1.  Installed SINS with the physical copy of the CD. (NOT DOWNLOAD)
2.  Purchased SINS: Entrenchment over Impulse, downloaded then installed via Impulse.

If this is you, and the game is crashing on boot, you must do this to fix.

1.  Open Impulse and click the MY GAMES tab.
2.  Uninstall SINS: Entrenchment.
3.  Open Add Remove Programs in Control Panel (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista).
4.  Uninstall SINS
5.  Open Impulse and and click the MY GAMES tab.
6.  Download and install SINS.
7.  Download and install SINS: Entrenchment.

Done... It works.  It appears that physcial copy of the game is not compatible with the downloaded expansion pack.   No hotfixes or any junk like that.  Post if this works for you.

i had this problem too. are you using a shortcut on the start menu that takes you directly to the game? if so, use the sins launcher found in the SOASE folder under stardock games. worked for me :)

Its not actually Document~/user/local~ yada yada. The ~ means "and so forth".

C://Windows/Documents and settings/usernamehere/local settings/temp/... I forget the rest after this part.
