Two Entrenchment Minidumps

The first dump here occured while I was playing a game as TEC.  I hadn't gotten much farther than sending out a few scout ships and looking at the new technologies when it happened.  The second happened while I was trying to change the colors for a computer player.  The only commonality I can see is that both happened after about ~10 minutes of gameplay.

Oh, and the TEC minefield tech seems to have a missing string.

Korn, did you update to 1.12 before getting entrenchment? Are you video drivers up to date?

Wow, I'm getting a healthy collection of these minidumps here...the hotfix didn't solve the problem.  As I said, I've re-installed Sins and Entrenchment twice each, and it's still happening.  Is there anywhere specific I should send these files?

yes was updated to 1.12 the day it was released. also my video card drivers are all up to date. seems if i play on smaller maps with 15 or less planets i have no dumps. but any of the larger maps with 30-45 i usally have mini dumps occur after a hour or more. i have E8400 3.0 ghz, 512 mb 8800 gt nvidia card,  vista 32 bit and 4 gigs of ram.

So, as i startet my computer today, ive got my minidumps back.

I am on my way to create a random 5star map ingame. if i click on preview and look around for some secs and go back to the editor (quit game) i will get a minidump in the menu after 3-5 mins. Somtimes sins crashed without a minidump...

I had completly reinstalled Entrenchment. Impulse autoinstalled sins first and than moved to entrechment automaticly...

E8400, HD4870-512MB, Vista64, 4GB, Firewall off, no Antivirus or antispy installed. No Memoryerrors.

Maybe someone can give us a file that is in version 1.12 and not in 1.11 (date)

unicatsins, korn,  try turning down your texture quality settings and let me know if the problem remains.

i found it just at the moment. after my post i have done what you say here. If i set all to high (not highest) in the first row, i can play this game longer as the 5-10 mins :)

That means, i dont have any CTDs at the moment :)

Played for over 3 hours.... no crashes anymore

Excellent :)

Yes, using lower texture quality settings worked for me, too

Yeah, with settings on high, the game works perfectly.. Less beautiful, but it works :D

Well done for the one who found out.. ;)

Lowering the textures and such is unfortunately a suboptimal fix though. :annoyed:
