Transcenscia Meteor shower broken?

I've was just playing a nice long game with Advent and enjoying watching my base take on computer fleet, but I noticed the meteor storm ability doesnt seem to be hurting their hulls, but seems to work fine on shields. Almost the entire enemy fleet are devoid of shielding, but everything short of what the base is directly firing on has full health. I also fail to see any damage happening when watching an enemy ship while being hit with a meteor. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have the same problem. The Starbase just fires with plasma even with 2 weapon upgrades and the meteor shower only affects shields. A small fleet with a shield restoring ship kill the Starbase without loss. At a fraction of it's costs.

Yeah, the Advent Starbase is pretty buggy. I had the same experience, both with meteor shower and with it's incredibly low firepower. I thought Starbases in general were too weak because of it (then I built a TEC one, which survived a major Vasari onslaught and tore through THREE capital ships before my fleet showed up to help).

 

In relation to meteor shower, the other half of the ability (Final Judgement, which hits planets) also doesn't work. It fires, but no damage is done.

I think it does hull damage, but it takes so long to reload that the shields have regenerated quite a bit

it doesnt do a lot of damage no but it does it to a _lot_ of ships. You don't really want that thing being able to destroy the whole enemy fleet in 3 minutes flat.. :P

the weapons upgrades for advent are futzy in a couple ways, but when they work it has pretty decent firepower

The shields seem to take a good 600 damage per ship, so I'm sure that it doesn't spread the damage. Especially since spreading damage that would not even kill a single frigate amongst likely massive fleets would make it an incredibly weak ability.

I noticed something buggy when attacking a planet with meteors. I don't think it even did damage...

I mentioned that Phalnax. :) It shows the firing animation and spends the antimatter, but no planetary damage is done.

The Advent Stabase Meteor shower does 600 dmg per ship to all ships in range. This ability should be extrem powerfull. But it does not make hull damage like Crazie_guy already said.

At the moment the Advent Starbase is a dead duck.The range of it's weapons is to short to fire back against a long range attack. You don't even need the anti-Starbase ships to kill it. The only long range weapon is the meteor shower.

 

The vasari one works better and the Tech one seem to work really stable. There is much to do for the devs.

 

By the way, does anyone know if there will be dmg upgrades fore the psionic surge weapon and the disintegration weapon? Cause the Tech can upgrades the firepower of all the weapons in their starbase. Advant and Vasari can only upgrade two of the weapons.

The Advent one does more damage than Vas. Every weapon can be upgreaded to ~160, Vas goes up to ~150. Vas can have 19500 hull and 8500 shields with 23 armor, so...

The second level of the punitive measures upgrades unlocks the psionic wave. the first level unlocks the lasers. a basic base starts only with the plasma weapons, but the tooltips for the other two are still there. After it's unlocked though, there is no upgrade that increases the damage.

well that's bad. Tec can upgrade the damage of all 3 starbase weapons. Advent and vasari only two of them.
