as far as I've seen it's normal.  but I haven't gotten v1.12 yet

Same thing happens to me all the time. It also affects sentinels.  After a fight I will tell my army to move somewhere and then all the assailints and sentinels will be frozen in place until I manually unfreeze them one by one. So annoying.

yo can turn off the autocast on discharging missiles.  also, they should move after a short while

This has been standard Sins since day dot - the tech increases range at the cost of losing mobility. Turn the tech off, or don't research it...

afaik it is fixed in 1.12

im in 1.12 and i still get that issue, even with the autocast OFF. so i just skip researching it.

it was fix at 1.12 finally

leave autocast on.

after all units are dead in range, they will move again after a few secs

it was never issue when autocast was off from the start.

however prior to 1.12 if you had it on, and killed all units in range, some would not move even after all enemy units were dead in range. Turning autocast prior to 1.12 didnt do anything at this point.

I also just experienced this issue BIG TIME.

To the extent where it basically broke our game.

I'm using 1.12 ofcourse.

Here's the situation.

A large amount of these ships (Assailants and Sentintels) came in via phase gates (Dark Fleet)
The ability is on autocast by default.
It seems a large amount of these ships came in with the ability ON for some reason, which means they didn't move from the start. It is also possible this could have been due to rebel raids (my opponent was TEC)
They WOULD NOT automatically go back to normal mode, even when they were completely alone away from enemy units. So they remained stuck in non-moveable mode the whole time, meaning I couldn't even move them between my planets.

So I figure.. no worries. Sure this is annoying as shit, but I'll just turn off auto-cast and select them all and turn them back to normal.... easy right? NOPE!
I could turn off auto-cast on multiple units of the same type at once, but couldn't set them back to normal by mass. I had to literally do it ONE BY ONE. (ie. If I selected a group of 10 Assailants, toggled the ability back to 'normal missiles' only 1 of the 10 would actually change).

In my opinion this is a bug and needs to be fixed. Either fix the AI so it toggles the ability off/on properly, or make it so autocast is not on by default AND and you turn off the ability for multiple units at once.

This is BROKEN, there is no doubt.

Entertaining at the least when you've got about over 200 assailants and sentinels sitting around your planets!

yeah u have to do it one by one.

Not really just have the one type of ship in one fleet problem fixed you can turn its speacial abilities on and off instead of selecting them one by one

Didn't work when I tried. I tried everything I could to change them in mass, but it wouldn't let me.

But the point remains, you shouldn't have to in the first place.
