Good day all.
I can't find anything at the moment on this, so I've made a new thread.
I have a volcano planet as the border world to my territory. With a pirate base as the 1st planet going out from my empire. I was trying to test the defenses on the TEC, so I had a fleet set up as backup, but pulled them to the other side of the grav well, docked all strikecraft and turned off auto engage.
When the pirates came to raid the system, I noticed that the TEC starbase, which had 2 upgrades to weapons, 3 to hull/shields and 3 to strike craft (with 3 fighters/bombers), was only firing its lasers. Pirates were all over it, and were getting more damage from planetary defenses. Surrounding the starbase and the tradeports were 6 Hangars (6/6), 2 Repair Bays and 7 Gauss platforms. All defenses were upgraded via the defense tech tree.
One thing I did notice was that the starbase was not rotating, as it did in a previous game. Is it possible that the surrounding structures were placed too close (as close as I could) and prevented the base from turning to engage? I would post a screenshot, but am at work.
Thanks in advance.
