Problem beginning download with Impulse

That's odd.. try download the 1.05 update standalone first (Fileplanet, filefront, etc), updating your game to 1.05 and then going through Impulse for 1.12.

In theory Impulse should do fine from any version to 1.12, but yours is the first post about updating from pre-1.05 to 1.12 so maybe it goofs up.

Just thought i would mention that I too am having this problem. I'm currently patched to 1.11.036 and I get the same message. My brother patched to 1.12.042 fine on XP  so maybe its a Vista problem with me?

Would be 'nice' for Stardock gave us access to the patch.exe so i can simply do it manually instead of via this annoying Impulse manager!

Actually it's looking like a server issue today, some other people are reporting the same error.

That said, there is no patch .exe. Impulse just does a file comparison and overwrites the changed files.

I'm having a similar (same) problem. Trying to update my new install from 1.0 via Impulse. After seeing a Preparing download issue for about 1 minute, I get an error message about an instance object not being set. I'm running Windows XP SP3.

Yeah, Stardock has posted that some of their server hardware failed today and they're relocating to another server, it might be a few hours until it starts working again.

any chance of getting the patch somewhere else?  i want to play some mods, that wont work under 1.11 ^^

I also am having the same issue and it is 21:06 EST on december 25th   anyone know whats going on here im at V1.5

The server issues are still happening, but they are being worked on as we speak.  Although there is no specific ETA for a final fix, we are trying to resolve this as quick as possible.

Ok the issue seems to be fixed now!

plzzz can someone help me? i Dont have the same problems with impulse as yous have but i do have a highly frustrating problem with it. After i inStall trinty and i try to get some updates so i can have the game to the latest version i try to open impulse and i get and error i try to send the error to stardock but an error comes up saying error unable to send error report!!! i mean what the hell?! iam not the only one with this problem seems like some other people have exactly the same thing i have been trying to find out if i can manually up-date the game but it al comes up with impulse! i reinstalled the program along with the game already 20 times and still the same thing!

I really need some help here plzzzzzzz can someone help me with this i have being trying to fix this sience i got the game that was last 3 months! PLZZZZZZZZZ HELP
