Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Anyone else getting this when trying to use Impulse to update?

I am getting the following error message when I try to update my Sins of a Solar Empire game through Impulse.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Is anyone else getting this?  Is this the error message to expect while the DB Server is having problems, or is this not related to that?

Thanks in advance.

There's an announcement at the top of the page that pretty much explains it. I will quote it for you:

The Stardock root database server had a hardware crash on Christmas eve. The DB admins are working on restoring it but some services will be affected including customer database updating, software updating and downloading and other services.  We do not currently have an ETA to solve due to limited personnel being available on Christmas eve / Christmas day but it should be rectified within the next 48 hours.

Note: All users who purchase anything between December 24 and the time this issue is rectified will be receiving a 33% off coupon on all future purchases as a token of appreciation for your patience.

Yes - I am aware of the DB server issue.  What I am asking is that if this is the error message one should expect for this issue, or am I looking at a different issue that will still be there after they do whatever they need to do to fix their DB Server?

On a not completely unrelated note, whoever programmed the

MessageBox(ex->Message) in that exception catch block for a NullReferenceException

Please change it to something meaningful so people understand what the problem is instead of swarming your forums and mIRC asking about it over and over ;).

It says updating and downloading services are affected, so you will get an error when you try and download something. This is that error.
