Forge Maps Don't Show

I've created a .galaxy with galaxy forge, put it in the \Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy directory and it's not showing up in the game. i've tried changing versions (0, 1, 2), still no joy. I've got Sins v1.05. any thoughts and/or help would be immensely appreciated. Thanks

ok, update, i loaded a pre-existing map (after backing it up) into galaxy forge and all i got was a blank screen. no crash, no unexpected error or the like, just a blank galaxy forge screen. saved the file, and now it doesn't show up in sins. i restored the original file and it shows up. ran a bin compare against the two files and they are identical. Any thoughts?
