I have a dream

I literally had a dream about playing Sins and thought I would share it with the community to see what other people think about the idea.

Besides the obvious ideas and changes that have been adressed about star bases, mines, etc. a couple of new unit designs came to me last night. First a support unit that will give some or all of the resources back to the owner from any ships destroyed within its range. second a seige unit that although weaker would also pull resources as it destroys the enemy planet, and the final thing was to be able to build more then one star base in a gravity well. these ideas could also be extended to upgrades or counterbalances within the star bases. Any way, take it or leave it but I would be interested in these changes.

I found this dream to be funny since more recently I have been playing other games but has nonetheless revived my enthusiasum for the entrenchment beta.

Yup, that's definitely a dream.

I'm personally totally opposed to this-it's enough that each faction can have one.  Bring in some allies!  ;)

I think it would be cool to intro duce a sort of interceptor ship with decent stats but its main purpose is to respond to an emergency attack. Say your main fleet is way away and suddenly enemy jumps in from behind. with a small fleet of interceptors they could get there way faster then reg fleet and maybe slow them down some. Or you could use them to come to an aid of an ally. Just an idea.

Ok as for the collecting resources from the destroyed ships Vasari can do that for the most part. And really if you think about it when a ship is destroyed its final death throws are its explosive decompression shattering it from the inside out so what would there be left to collect?

All the races i think have a capital ship that can drain resources from a planet.

As for more than one star base in a gravity well? This would be unbalanced if you made them any more powerful which the rest of the community is begging for.
