WTF Prices!

What's with the Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment expansion prices?

is the game ten dollars ($9.95) or 137 dollars like it puts it on the checkout screen. I really want the game but I have ten dollars not 137. I'm scared to attempt to buy it seeing the bill could be outragous if Stardock is lying to me!

Is more than one copy of the game in the cart? If you keep clicking buy now, it adds another copy to your cart.

The game is $9.95.  Impulse/Impulse's site may be doing a local currency conversion-where do you live?  If not that, check to make certain there's nothing else in your cart, and clear it anyway, and then try re-adding Entrenchment.

For what it's worth, Entrenchment is still in beta, and January 1st was a placeholder date that never got replaced.

The game is $9.95 for USA customers only. Although not stated on the impulse buy page for entrenchment, by the time you get to the checkout and recieve an e-receipt you will see that non usa customers are charged more. An EU friend of mine complained and has been offered a refund of the difference between $9.95 and the $14 odd he paid.

Just to make it clear, its not an exchange rate thing but rather stardock and ironclad deciding to charge different amounts per region.

For reguler sins at 20$ you made a deal.

The copy you got at Walmart is the original game. The others are discussing the addon which is still in Beta and goes for $9 online. $20 is a good price for the full game, so no I don't think you got "jipped" <grin> enjoy.

<edit>I need to learn to type faster. Looks like I got beat to the reply.<edit>

Just to correct you will, $9.95 if you are an American and living in America.

Prices in Kalypso's territories were set by them, so that the localizations can be available to anyone who buys it in those areas. Anything not in a Kalypso area should be at the USD price or current exchange.

Thats wierd hehe I live in Norway and I was charged in US Dollars, probably becouse we are not part of the European Union dictatorship.

I was only charged for 9.99$ (70 Norwegian Kroner) so I'am happy and I Thank You.

-We are buying 56 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters II from USA

What are the Kalypso territories? Why the extra charges in territories such as the UK that dont require 'localization' per se (assuming by localization you mean translation)?

Regardless, I really don't see why my friend in the UK had to pay more when Kalypso had sweet FA to do with the purchase he made via impulse. I think I'll advise him to buy via a proxy and USA paypal account in the future.
