I FAIL AT GETTING MODS TO WORK!

I decided that Sins of a Solar Empire didn't have enough planets in it so I got Ulzii's Sins Plus mod v1.3. I couldn't find a readme for it when I downloaded it, but I did get 7zip thing to unpack the mod and then put the unpacked mod into the mods folder. When I tried to enable it the game crashed. I window opened up on the desktop that said something about a minidump, and then the game had an error and closed.

So I tried Sins Plus 1.2, and the same thing happened. I worked for hours tryingt to find a readme and figure out what was going on, with no success.

Now in downloading 7 deadly sins, but I doubt that it will work either.

Someone help me, or tell me if you can't mod anything either so that I don't feel like the only one.

P.S-I have version 1.12

I'm pretty sure that those mods haven't yet been updated for the latest versions and are still using patch 1.05.

much less for betas. don't expect any mod to work for betas. adapting mods to a current version is quite some work (I assume, never done any modding) so it surely won't be done for interimary versions that are sure to change, and often quite drastically so, pretty soon.

WEll alright then, also I'm new to this site, but maybe this post should have gone in technical or something not beta feedback. What is beta feedback anyways?

End of Ryth25's quote

what do you mean "what is beta feedback"? it means that we have an unfinished beta version and we write what we think of it, what we like and don't like, how we would like it changed, improved and why. and we go bughunting to make sure the final product is as complete and playable as possible. and while that we try not to piss off or sound negative too much. constructive feedback ftw.

Sorry then, i'm no good at modding or even installing mods. I did minor modifications to Medieval total war 2. Is there tools you can download for modding?

Forge Tools from the Download Link near the top of the page.

If you have 1.12, then you don't have the beta.
