[1.12]BUG: Replays Broken

Replays are totally busted. I just tried to watch an autorecorded 5v5.  And well the game does not evolve like i remember.  For one thing I'm 100% sure I did not fly around with empty drone hosts.  And I know for a fact that I had 2 cap ships when I attacked my enemy's asteroid, one seems strangely missing.  Those two "irregularities" are enough for me to conclude the replay feature is totally busted.  I have not been able to spot any other irregularities in that replay, because I turned the game off in disgust!

Update on the issue. I was able to view a replay without incident.  When I entered the replay, I was the selected player, I did not change the player.  Also I refraimed from using view all option.  This allowed me to see the whole replay without it having any issues.

lol. as far as i got to my recorded games was the recorded game loading bar moving an inch then desktopped. the whole game itself had no problem 'sometimes' then when i load the recorded games poof, minidump.

I have the same issues as Astax.  Even following his suggestions to not change player perspective, the replay de-sync's in some manner right away. 

I have installed and uninstalled the entrenchment beta.  Is it possible that this has broken my vanilla installation?

you've probly broken your 'chocolate' installation lol/jk. well, there is one game that didnot crash and it was a 1v1 game that i played with maybe about 7 or 9 planets. few of my recorded games where able to load with out minidumping like a constipated person sitting on a toilet but then when i load it up the game seems to not pickup everything that was recorded. could this be an issue when too many or all players record at the same time? IC should make a primary recorded file where when any person records a game it automaticly goes to a file that everyone can pickup so it won't conflict with any other player trying to recorded. is that possible?

Was this a single player or multi player game, Astax? MP replays have been wonky since 1.1 but it looked to me like SP replays worked fine, so I'm curious.

I have been seeing the same error as Astax, and I have not installed the Entrenchment beta yet. Nor have I tried the suggestion about not using view all toggle yet.  I'll give it a try and and report back.

I've seen the error for V1.2 and both single and multiplayer games.

Well, I've tried watching the replays with out ever touching the view all or change players perspective and the replay still doesn't work.

I do know that the replay I was watching was created by the end of the game. Meaning I went into the menu and hit the record button near the end game.  I wonder if that makes a difference, because it never recorded the beginning?  I'm going to try to play a quick game with the recorded starting right from the beginning.

Well, I have found that if you watch the "Auto Record" file instead of the original record file name, then the replay seems to work.

Zanosan that's nto always the case. I watch autorep;lays almsot excusively and they are busted.  You wer ejsut lucky in your case.  This si getting on my nerves.

Can we have official update on this issue? It is really putting cramp on MP enjoyment!

replays are very important to an RTS, especially with so many new players on the scene.
