Son of a bitch. Are you serious? Blizzard is actually removing the Carrier from the Protoss?
Yes, I am very serious, Carriers are being removed from multiplayer in Heart of the Swarm, along with Motherships and Overseers. Though I suspect if Carriers aren't in the Legacy of the Void campaign then Blizzard will probably have a riot on their hands. It has to do with Carriers being underutilized, because, unlike in StarCraft, Carriers aren't nearly as good as they used to be in StarCraft II. My thoughts on StarCraft II follow.
I really don't like the direction Blizzard took the Zerg tech tree. Why couldn't Blizzard have just left it alone, and just add the new toys, like banelings and roaches, instead of switching it around? If I had a computer capable of handling StarCraft II, I probably would have at least given the Starter Edition a try by now.
I really do love the short stories for StarCraft II so far, especially Broken Wide (one of the best stories I have ever read), Stealing Thunder, Colossus, and Mothership. I like StarCraft a lot, but haven't really got to play it much beyond beating most of the campaigns, and people rarely seem to use official maps on battle.net. Further StarCraft discussion should probably continue elsewhere.
